Jun. 7th, 2003 12:23 amWow. It's been a while since I've signed onto AOL at home.
This is also the first time I've signed on at this new house. Yep, faitful readers, I've moved. A whole mile and a half from my old apartment. I'm still just renting a room, but I found a cheap-ass place, and the cat doesn't bug my allergies at all. Agreeable people, storage in the garage, and a big backyard. I'm set. (For now. I think I may move back to LA this fall -- I've been saying it forever, but it may actually finally happen...now's the time to send resumes, I think.)
If you have my cell number, reach me there. I have an answering machine set up on my land line now, but won't get the messages more than every couple days probably. The number will transfer to my new place in like a week and a half. (If you don't have my number and want it, simply reply or something and I'll e-mail it to you if I deem you worthy. Heh.)
Richie: I've read all the Burke books (I bought Pain Management as well, read it, and am waiting for Only Child to come back to the library) plus The Getaway Man, and I'm halfway through Born Bad. Thankyouthankyou.
Whee, new Radiohead. I haven't been listening to KJEE since I inadvertenly heard the first minute or so of "There There." I'm one of those who hates even the slightest taste of a work he's anticipating -- I want the whole thing at once, and if that means delayed gratification, then I've got the discipline. Yeeuh.
My friends in Santa Barbara are all graduating college and scattering to the far corners of California. This will soon leave me nearly alone up here for the time being...
It's been a while, too, since I exhausted myself on the Internet. Beddy-bye time for me.
