A journalist by trade and editor by training, I left my job at a community paper in California's Inland Empire (Chino, to be exact) to go live in France and teach English to high-school students. I got here at the end of September, and will remain until Memorial Day weekend 2008. In true expat-pauper fashion, I will attempt to live richly while poor -- and to travel as much as I can, as it would be criminal to be so close to everything and not visit anything.
