I have a tape that I can copy next time I visit LA -- or possibly even at work -- if anyone wants, and it sounds actually really good. They fixed the audio problems -- both sides of the stereo signal are working now, yay! and it's all clear and full-sounding :)
so my roommate used to be married to this one woman, but they divorced several years ago. when I moved in, he was dating a bit, but sooner or later he started having lunch, then dinner, then nights in with his ex-wife.
I've met her, and she's really cool. (So's my roommate, actually. He's really mellow and understanding, we have similar taste in everything, we're both vegetarians, etc. etc.) Right after Christmas, they went to New York; now, they're engaged.
This poses a problem because she's moving in with her daughter in June. Which means I move out. Fuck. This place is relatively cheap, it's the best domestic situation I've ever had, I hate looking for housing...
...so do I go to L.A. and look for a new job, which I'm gonna probably do within a year or two anyway? Do I find another room in a house, which I really don't wanna do anymore? Do I try to sublease an apartment in IV for the summer, and then go from there? Or do I find my own place and pay 2/3 of my income or more in rent?
In any case, I'm gonna have to pare down my stuff-ownership. Moving is like my least-favorite thing to do, ever, and I want to have to spend as little time as possible doing it.
