Mah berfday
Feb. 15th, 2006 11:07 pm Didn't do anything wild and wacky, though I did make a decision to do something a bit rash tomorrow, when the place is open. Rash for me, anyway. I'll post proof if I have the balls to follow through with it.
So I woke up at like 9:30, sighed with satisfaction that I didn't have to be at work, and loafed on the Internet for a while. Got up an hour or two later, showered, shaved, and hung around, wondering if I was gonna get together with Richie. He returned my call just in time, so he came over and we caught up a bit and went to Red Robin for lunch -- an old tradition or habit among our friends -- and I broke my diet and felt good about it, as it is my birthday after all. We then came back and watched Lady Snowblood. Then we popped in a Bill Hicks DVD and joked around some more, and Darryl came over. We watched more Bill Hicks, chatted some, then went to Johnny Carino's for dinner -- I've had the biggest craving for spaghetti with spicy marinara sauce the last couple days. Good stuff. Then Darryl went home to do some PowerPoint work, and Richie and I watched Shaun of the Dead.
Throughout the day, I fielded happy-birthday calls from Andrea, Lauren, Ben, and Shelley, a text message from Sonia, an e-mail from a girl in the Netherlands, LJ comments from several of you, and a MySpace comment from Lauren Sevelin that apparently contained a picture of Chad Maxfield's nipple (the pic didn't load) (Chad M. left me a MySpace comment, too). It's awesome that people remembered. Thanks, everybody. :D EDIT: And also MySpaces from Mike Andersen and from Katherine! Sweet.
So I was happy, and I don't care that I didn't go do anything out of the ordinary. Saturday, we're gonna live it up, but today I'm totally mellow, and after all, I do have to work tomorrow. :P
