The tally:

• For English 197:
  
  1. Read about 150 pages left in Dracula tonight.
  
  
  2. One 12-15 page term paper on same, due Wednesday.


• For Writing 151B: Write an editorial guidelines sheet. Much like a consistency style sheet seen at any newsaper or other publication, I think. Should be about two pages.


• For Writing 109V:
  
  1. Final revisions for Projects No. 1 and 2, due Tuesday.
  
  
  2. Finish first draft of final project, due ASAP.
  
  
  3. Edit Kelly's paper, due Tuesday.
  
  
  4. Revise and lay out final project, due at final exam (June 13?)


• For Anthro 5: Exam on June 10, I think.


• For Writing 150: the final report, 2 pages, due ???

This is gonna be one fuck of a week. Those readers who plan to visit the night before my graduation ceremony (Richie, that is): I suspect that I will be drunk. Just a warning. If it doesn't work out that way, fine, but I imagine that once I am done with classwork I will begin to imbibe alcohol with great frivolity and wantonness. For me, anyhow.

oh yes. an entry detailing what's been going on.

not much, actually. I'm boring. I've hung out with Simone quite a bit, and actually went to Tyler's until 5:15 a.m. a few nights ago, just him and me talking and listening to CDs. I got slightly drunk at a Simone gathering last weekend, and played Truth or Dare for the first time in ages; no one got naked or revealed anythig too shocking, though, so it was largely a time-passing device. Last night was supposed to be a party at Beck's, but it didn't happen, so I played Jenga at Simone's with the usual crowd that hangs around there.

Still no love interests; still writing regularly for the Voice; published my last-ever Artsweek story (on Insomnia) last week, unless I get to work on the summer issue.

I'm nervous as all hell about what I'm gonna do after graduation, though. I think I'm qualified, but where do I wanna go? And what happens if I make the wrong choice? How hard, given my fondness for familiarity, will I find it to uproot if I decide I don't like my next home? LA, the Bay, Santa Barbara, or points East? Will I ever get over whatever's keeping my social life in the doldrums that it's in now?

Mighty fuck. I'm not ready to leave school, yet in many large ways I suspect it's exactly what I need.

update:

12- to 15-page English 197 paper now due Friday. With possibility of extension if thigs get too hairy--Dr. Craft said "Don't kill any grandmothers for this paper. I killed my grandmother three times when I was an undergrad; she survived all three."

This makes for GREAT relief, and I find myself not plagued nearly so much by such shit as pre-grad anxiety.
