thank you kris, for my inauguration to the joys of harry potter. that first book--I finished it in less than six hours. it was fucking cool.

so THAT'S what it felt like to truly enjoy a book. haven't done that like that in a long time. reading for pleasure is a wonderful thing--sad, really, that I don't do it more often. I think I need to get out of college.

I want very badly to be doing music right now. if I weren't so close to my degree I'd probably take time off school and write music with ben. playing with him, jahdiel, and melissa was a highlight of my summer. even though we were only there for a couple hours, and I kept fucking up because I was nervous, it felt great.

amazing, isn't it, how when you feel that you should be doing something, you're always in another place to which you feel bound.
